This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs the cancellation, return, and refund of orders placed on the GaliKart website and mobile application ("Platform"). By placing an order on GaliKart, you agree to the terms outlined below.

GaliKart is a hyperlocal marketplace and acts as a technology facilitator between customers, vendors, and delivery partners. Refunds and cancellations are subject to vendor policies, product categories, and applicable laws.

1. Order Cancellation Policy

a. Cancellation by Customer

  • Orders can be cancelled before vendor acceptance or order processing, as shown in the app.
  • Once the order is packed, dispatched, or handed over to a delivery partner, cancellation may not be allowed.
  • Cancellation eligibility may vary based on product type (e.g., groceries, medicines, perishable goods).

Any cancellation request must be made through the GaliKart app or website.

b. Cancellation by Vendor or GaliKart

An order may be cancelled due to:

  • Product unavailability
  • Pricing or listing errors
  • Operational or technical issues
  • Non-serviceable location

In such cases, the customer will receive a full refund, if payment has already been made.

2. Refund Policy

a. Eligible Refund Scenarios

Refunds may be issued in the following situations:

  • Order cancelled within the permitted cancellation window
  • Vendor unable to fulfill the order
  • Wrong product delivered
  • Missing items in the order
  • Damaged products (non-perishable items only)

Refund eligibility is subject to verification and vendor confirmation.

b. Non-Refundable Items

The following items are non-refundable, except where required by law:

  • Medicines and healthcare products (once delivered)
  • Perishable goods (fruits, vegetables, dairy, etc.)
  • Products without original packaging or seal
  • Items marked as non-returnable on the Platform

3. Medicine & Prescription Orders (Special Conditions)

  • Medicines once delivered are non-returnable and non-refundable, except in cases of:
    • Wrong medicine delivered
    • Expired or damaged medicine
  • Refund or replacement requests must be raised within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Valid photo proof and order details may be required for verification.

GaliKart follows applicable Indian drug and pharmacy regulations.

4. Refund Process & Timeline

  • Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
  • Online payment refunds typically take 5–10 business days, depending on the bank or payment gateway.
  • Cash on Delivery (COD) refunds, if applicable, may be processed via bank transfer or wallet credit.

Delivery charges, platform fees, or convenience fees may be non-refundable, unless the cancellation is due to GaliKart or vendor fault.

5. Replacement Policy

  • Replacement may be offered instead of a refund, subject to vendor approval and product availability.
  • Replacement requests must be raised within the specified timeframe shown in the app.

6. User Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate delivery details
  • Checking items at the time of delivery
  • Raising refund or issue requests within the allowed timeframe

Failure to do so may result in denial of refund or replacement.

7. Misuse & Abuse

GaliKart reserves the right to:

  • Deny refunds in cases of suspected misuse or fraud
  • Suspend or terminate user accounts found abusing the refund policy

GaliKart may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Can I cancel my order after placing it?

Yes, you can cancel your order before the vendor starts processing or packing it, as shown in the app. Once the order is packed or dispatched, cancellation may not be possible.

2. How do I cancel an order?

You can cancel an eligible order directly from the "My Orders" section in the GaliKart app or website.

3. Will I get a refund if I cancel my order?

If you cancel within the allowed time window, you will receive a full refund for prepaid orders. Refund eligibility depends on order status and product category.

4. How long does it take to receive a refund?

Refunds are usually processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method. The exact time depends on your bank or payment provider.

5. Are delivery charges refundable?

Delivery charges or platform fees are usually non-refundable, unless the cancellation or issue occurred due to a fault from GaliKart or the vendor.

6. What if my order gets cancelled by the store or GaliKart?

If your order is cancelled due to product unavailability, operational issues, or non-serviceable location, you will receive a full refund automatically (if prepaid).

7. Can I return groceries or perishable items?

No. Perishable items like fruits, vegetables, dairy, and fresh food are non-returnable and non-refundable, unless they were delivered in a damaged condition.

8. Can I return medicines?

Medicines and healthcare products are non-returnable once delivered, as per regulations.

Exceptions:

  • Wrong medicine delivered
  • Expired or damaged medicine

In such cases, please raise an issue within 24 hours of delivery.

9. What should I do if I received the wrong or missing items?

Please raise a complaint from the app within 24 hours of delivery, along with photo proof if requested. Our team will verify and assist with a refund or replacement.

10. Can I get a replacement instead of a refund?

Yes, replacements may be offered depending on product availability and vendor approval.

11. What happens to Cash on Delivery (COD) refunds?

For COD orders, refunds (if approved) may be processed via bank transfer or GaliKart wallet credit, based on availability.

12. What if I entered the wrong delivery address?

Please double-check your address before placing an order. Refunds may not be possible if delivery fails due to incorrect address details.

13. Can GaliKart deny a refund?

Yes. Refunds may be denied in cases of policy misuse, repeated abuse, or fraudulent activity.
